PURPOSE:To obtain a packing through which a depth of a recessed part in which a product is stuffed can be made deep and a width of the inside of the recessed part can be made wider than an inlet of the recessed part, by a method wherein the recessed part is molded by pressing a heated mold against a side of a polyhedron composed of a synthetic resin material such as foamed urethane or foamed styrol. CONSTITUTION:A polyhedron 1 in predetermined size is molded by cutting off a block of a foamable synthetic rewin material such as foamed urethane or foamed styrol. Then the foamable synthetic resin is melted by pressing a heated mold 2 against a desired side of the polyhedron 1 for a predetermined period of time, the mold 2 is stopped at a desired depth, the inside of the polyhedron 1 is molded wider than an inlet by prolonging pressing period of time against the polyhedron 1 and a product 5 is molded by pulling cut the mold 2. With this manufacturing method, the polyhedron having predetermined dimensions, expansion magnification and a color tone can be selected and a packing whose recessed part in which the product is stuffed is deep in depth and whose inside is wider than the inlet is obtained.
