PURPOSE:To broaden the uniform band of sound-reproduction from a dome diaphragm and to improve the uniformity of a reproduction band from a cone diaphragm by extending the voice coil of a cone speaker, connecting it with the dome diaphragm in the vicinity of its node of vibration, and connecting the outer periphery of the dome diaphragm with the cone diaphragm in the vicinity of the node of vibration. CONSTITUTION:The voice coil 24 is extended upward, and fixed at the position of the node of vibration of the primary resonance of the dome diaphragm 25. The dome diaphragm 25 consists of a light-metallic foil, a resin film and paper, whose part corresponding to the node of primary resonance is fixed at the vertex of the voice coil 24 by an adhesive, etc. The outer periphery of the diaphragm 25 is fixed, with an adhesive or the like, to the node of the secondary or tertiary resonance of the cone diaphragm 27. Since the dome diaphragm 25 is directly connected with the voice coil and driven, the dome diaphragm 27 reproduces sound uniformly mainly over high frequencies and hence the higher limit frequency can be increased. Also, since the cone diaphragm is connected to the outer periphery of the dome diaphragm, the sound-reproduction by the former comes to have a smooth characteristic. As a result, a smooth pressure response can be obtained over the wide band of frequency.
