<p>PURPOSE:To provide a turbine with monor rate of flow and enhance its efficiency by furnishing a packing member at the flap member of a variable capacity radial turbine on its side face oriented in the swing direction, or on the wall surface of the flow line mating therewith, and thereby eliminating leak of the gas. CONSTITUTION:In a radial turbine in which the rate of gas flow is made variable by giving a flap member 24, arranged along the flow line of a turbine scroll, possibility of swinging in the radial direction of the turbine rotor, packing members 60, 61 are furnished at the flap member 24 on its side face oriented in the swing direction, or on the wall surface of the flow line provided in the position mating with said side face. This will provide a labyrinth effect. Thereby gas leak is reduced to assure an enhanced turbine efficiency.</p> |
