PURPOSE:To make it possible to eliminate a link between a central computer and an NC device, by processing data of machining or the like of a workpiece in a batch system with the use of a memory medium such as IC card or the like having a read/write function. CONSTITUTION:A tool storage and supply passage is composed of a central tool chamber 3, an automatic tool presetter 4, a tool preparing station, and a tool magazine 7. Further, a workpiece supply passage is composed of a workpiece preparing station 6 and a pallet storage 9. Storage and searching devices 10a, 10b are arranged along these passages, for storing and searching memory mediums each provided therein with a no-contact type data read/write head. Further, robot devices 12a, 12b for delivering and receiving the memory mediums to and from the above-mentioned storage and searching devices 10a, 10b are connected to a data processing device 11.
