A mineral-mining plough is caused to have a stepwise advance of a hopping nature in either direction along a face by a vibrator system incorporated within the plough. The system involves at least one of the out of balance, contra-rotating masses of the system being so secured on a drive shaft as to have a degree of freedom of rotational movement with respect to the shaft in the direction of rotation of the shaft. |
