PURPOSE:To restore the state into the original normal state in a short time by allowing a storage means to manage the storage location of an optical disk even when power is interrupted while the optical disk is carried. CONSTITUTION:A storage section 8 connected to a control section 9 stores an address of a storage box where an optical disk 3 under carrying is stored, a power is supplied to the storage section 8 from a battery 7 and the recording content is stored even when the supply of an external power of the device is interrupted. Suppose that the power supply from the external power supply 11 is interrupted while the optical disk 3 is being carried, since the function of the control section 9 is stopped, the management of the optical disk is disabled. When the power supply of the device is applied again, the control section 9 references the content of the storage section 8, starts the drive circuit section 6, the optical disk 3 is restored to the original address location by a carrier mechanism 4 and the state is restored to the normal state before the power supply is interrupted.
