PURPOSE:To obtain a hair tonic composition having excellent tonic effect and low side effect, by including vitamin C compound or vitamin E compound in lecithin or hydrogenated lecithin. CONSTITUTION:A hair tonic composition containing 1-10wt% vitamin C or its stabilized derivative (e.g. ascorbic acid monostearate, ascorbic acid sulfate salt, etc.) and 2-15wt% vitamin E or its derivative (e.g. DL-alpha-tocopherol). When the above two components are included in a matrix consisting of lecithin or hydrogenated lecithin and added to the composition, the transcutaneous absorption of the components is promoted, the concentrations of the vitamins in tissue can be maintained at high levels and an improved hair-tonic effect can be attained. The composition may be used in the form of liquid, jelly, emulsified lotion, aerosol, ointment, etc. |
