PURPOSE: A device for transmitting control information for adjusting power in a multi component carrier system and a method thereof are provided to request a terminal for information required for obtaining power adjusting information and enable the terminal to transmit the requested information. CONSTITUTION: A terminal receives an SI(Subsidiary Information) request message from a base station(S1300). The SI request message requests SI information about the terminal which is used for determining the range of adjusting power to UL(UpLink) maximum transmission power of the terminal. The terminal obtains SI information(S1305). The terminal transmits a SI response message including the obtained SI information to the base station(S1310).
