PURPOSE:To improve printing efficiency by setting an original on a plate making material gradually from one side while tensing the original, bringing the original into contact with the plate making material by evacuation, and irradiating the material with light from above the original. CONSTITUTION:The original 5 is arranged slantingly to the plate making material 4 while both ends are held by a holding, tensing and setting means 6. An evacuating means 3 performs evacuation and the original 5 is set on the plate making material 4 gradually from one side while tensed by the holding, tensing, and setting means 6. At this time, the air present between the original 5 and plate making material 4 is discharged successively and mechanically by the tensing and gradual setting of the original 5 and discharged hydraulically by the evacuation; and the original 5 whose four peripheral parts are to be set on a printing table 2 covers the plate making material 4 and the air between the original 5 and printing table 2 is further evacuated to bring the original and plate making material 4, and plate making material 4 and printing table 3 into contact completely. Then, light is irradiated by a light irradiating means 7 from above the original 5. |
