PURPOSE:To enable fresh outer air to be introduced to a room both during the time of combustion and during the suspended time of combustion, by providing breather pores which communicate with the upstream side of a convection fan in the part of an air-introducing duct on the upstream side of a combustion fan, together with a damper which opens and closes those pores on the duct. CONSTITUTION:Pores 21, which communicate with the upstream side of a convection fan 12, are provided in the part of an air-introducing duct 14 on the upstream side of a combustion fan 11, together with a damper 22 to open and close those pores 21. During combustion the damper 22 is opened, and part of fresh outer air which is to be introduced to a burner through the air duct 14 is blown off into a room from a blow-off opening 19, after it is mixed with heated air by a convection fan 12. When combustion is suspended, the damper 22 remains open and the convection fan 12 only is driven continuously. With such an arrangement, a room air can be ventilated by taking fresh air into the room through a fresh air-introducing pipe 15 and the fresh air-introducing duct 14, both during combustion and during the suspended time of combustion.
