PURPOSE:To improve stability and performance by inhibiting the decomposition of a flurochlorohydrocarbon, by adding a boron compd. thereto. CONSTITUTION:0.1-5wt% boron compd. is added to a flurochlorohydrocarbon. Even when a quantity of the added boron compd. exceeds 0.5wt%, no remarkable increased benefits can be obtd. The boron compd. as such or as a soln. in a solvent is added to the flurochlorohydrocarbon. The preferred solvent include that which can dissolve the boron compd. as well as the fluorochorohydrocarbon and are non-reactive and stable against heat. Examples of such solvents are dioxane and methyl acrylate. Examples of the boron compds. are phenyl borate, alkyl borates, phenylboronic acid and phenyl and alkyl esters thereof. |
