PURPOSE:To make the increase in printing duty possible by controlling the rise in the temperature of a printing heat at a low level, by controlling a carrier motor so that a control part moves the printing head onto a cooling fan when the printing is stopped. CONSTITUTION:When ACK signal showing the permission for receiving of data is sent out from the microprocessor 1 of a control part 9 via an I/O port 5, a timer 4 is simultaneously set. When an interruption is generated from the timer 4 before a printing data comes, a carrier motor 13 is driven by control of the microprocessor 1 via an I/O port 6 and a driver 10, a printing head 11 is moved to a position in which the wind volume of a cooling fan 15 is large, and the temperature of the printing head 11 is decreased. Further, when the temperature of printing head 11 exceeds a specific temperature with the temperature detection sensor 12 built in the printing head 11, the printing head 11 is moved onto the cooling fan 15 by the same method and its temperature is decreased. |
