Pneumatic vehicle tyre with a single-layer or multilayer carcass whose free end areas are held in the side walls of the tyre by wrapping around bead cores or the like, having a tread component and having a belt-like reinforcement which is arranged underneath the tread component. The belt-like reinforcement consists of a ring (6) which is tension-resistant and compression-resistant in the circumferential direction and flexurally rigid in the radial direction. The natural frequencies of the structure which is capable of oscillation and consists of this rigid ring (6) and of the elastic embedding of the same by the side walls (7) are smaller than 50 Hz both for oscillations in the circumferential direction and for oscillations in the radial or meridional direction. <IMAGE>
