PURPOSE:To obtain a monomer composition containing specific monomers at a specific ratio and useful as a dental composite material having excellent mechanical properties such as compression strength, tensile strength, etc., high affinity to dentine and low water-absorption. CONSTITUTION:The objective monomer composition can be produced by compounding (A) 20-60wt% component of formula I (R<1> is H or alkyl; l and m are >=0), (B) 10-50wt% component of formula II (R<2> is H or alkyl; n is >=0) and (C) 20-60wt% component of formula III (R<3> is H or alkyl). The ratios of A:B:C are preferably (20-50):(15-40):(20-60), especially (20-30):(20-40):(30-50) by wt%.
