PURPOSE:To uniformize molten metal pouring and to reduce deviation from a foil thickness standard by arranging a weir between a tundish and a pouring nozzle and forming plural grooves in the weir. CONSTITUTION:The tundish 3 is arranged below a holding vessel 1 and the weir 4 is also arranged between the pouring nozzle 5 and the tundish 3. Further, the plural grooves are formed in the weir 4, so as to overflow into the pouring nozzle 5 as plural dispersed flows for the molten metal. Then, a depth of the molten metal in the nozzle 5 is adjusted to about 50-400mm to reduce the deviation from a foil thickness standard. As the plural grooves are formed in the weir 4, the molten metal flow at overflowing the weir is enlarged for its resistance and is reduced for effect of a surface tension, and thus, a supply of the molten metal for width direction is uniformized. Therefore, in this way, uniform pouring and reducing of the deviation from the foil thickness standard are obtd. |
