PURPOSE:To improve the output of a unit without increasing heating area by installing a heat accumulator into the warm sea-water taking-in passage of an evaporator, in a power generation plant in which a thermal medium is evaporated by the warm sea-water and condensed by the cold sea-water. CONSTITUTION:The warm sea-water is supplied into an evaporator 3 through a pump 2 from a water taking-in part 1 in the surface layer part and transmits heat to a thermal medium and evaporates it. The vapor of the thermal medium evaporated in an evaporator 3 is sent into a turbine 4 to drive a dynamo 5. The cold sea-water is supplied into a condenser 8 through a pump 7 from a water taking-in part 6 and cools the exhaust supplied from the turbine 4 and liquefies the exhaust. The thermal medium liquefied in the condenser 8 is returned into the evaporator 3 through a circulating pump 9. In this case, a heat accumulator 10 constituted of a nonregenerative type heat exchanger is installed into a warm sea-water taking-in passage. Thus, the output of the unit can be improved without increasing heating area. |
