PURPOSE:To prevent a developing agent from being accumulated on one side and scattered in a developing device, when the developing device is inserted into the developing device inserting section of a picture forming device, by constituting the inserting section of the developing device which is inserted and taken out in the axial direction of a photosensitive drum to have a closed vessel structure and, at the same time, providing a sealing member which seals joined part of the developing device inserting section and developing device at the peripheral section of the inserting port of the developing device inserting section. CONSTITUTION:The inserting section 8 of a developing device which is inserted and taken out in the axial direction of a photosensitive drum is made to have a closed vessel structure and, at the same time, a sealing member 7 which seals the joined part of the inserting section 8 and developing device is provided at the peripheral section of the inserting port of the developing device inserting section of a picture forming device. When a developing agent hopper 1 is inserted in the direction shown by the arrow, the hopper 1 acts as a piston and the inserting section 8 acts as a fluid pressure cylinder. Thus the hopper 1 and section 8 enclose air and act as an air damper. Therefore, abrupt inserting and taking out operations are regulated because of a strong resisting force and the developing agent is prevented from being accumulated on one side and scattered in the developing device. |
