PURPOSE:To obtain a color copying machine which is fast in copying speed, free from superposed color deviation and can be miniaturized, by using a common original lighting light source and, at the same time, providing a light quantity adjusting means and an optical axis adjusting means between a color separating means which separates colors from reflecting light and a photosensitive body corresponding to each separated color. CONSTITUTION:Each separated color shares one original lighting light source 2 and can separately be adjusted in light intensity by means of light quantity adjusting means 7a, 7b, and 7c provided behind each color separating filter 6a, 6b, and 6c. When the light quantity adjusting means 7a, 7b, and 7c are adjusted, the balances of the densities of the yellow, magenta, and cyan copies can be adjusted. In order to perform fine positioning, the optical axis adjusting means 8a, 8b, and 8c are provided behind each light quantity adjusting means 8a and the optical axis adjusting means 8a is constituted of a parallel glass plate which is adjustable in angle against the optical axis.
