PURPOSE:To evaluate the dynamic characteristic from the MSB to the LSB by constituting a D/A converter with a means driving the D/A converter one by one bit each selectively at the maximum speed and means measuring an output level of a fundamental wave component of each bit. CONSTITUTION:A rectangular wave signal having a duty ratio of 50% of the highest speed of the D/A converter 2 is supplied to bit input terminals D0-Dn of the D/A converter 2 to be evaluated from a pulse generator PG of a drive circuit 4 as a bit control signal via switches SW40-SW4n. Since the theoretical value of the amplitude of the rectangular wave signal at each bit outputted to an analog signal output terminal A is calculated in advance, the state of the operation of the D/A converter at the highest speed from the MSB to the LSB is evaluated singly at each bit by using a selection level meter 5 so as to measure the level of the fundamental wave component of an analog output signal while each bit is driven selectively.
