PURPOSE:To prevent the influence of change of ambient temperature on the accuracy of positioning of a head by bringing a bearing into contact with one side in the same direction of bearing fixing holes on both sides of a carriage or making the bearing eccentric to bring it very close to the side. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive 6 is filled between upper and lower bearings 4, 5 loose fitted to upper and lower housings 2, 3 of a carriage 1, and head positioning is made by bonding the fixing upper and lower bearings 4, 5 thrusting them in the same direction of upper and lower housings 2, 3 to make them eccentric. By making bearings 4, 5 eccentric in the same direction to upper and lower housing 2, 3, even when difference in thermal expansion is caused by ambient temperature, upper and lower bearings elongate similarly in radial direction to the center of a shaft 7. Accordingly, only the center of the shaft 7 makes parallel movement without giving angle of inclination to the carriage 1, and consequently, relative positional deviation of the head can be prevented.
