PURPOSE:A dispersion stabilizer which disperses coal powder into water and makes pipe line transportation possible, containing a specific polyether compound (derivative) as an essential component. CONSTITUTION:The aimed dispersion stabilizer containing a polyether compound (derivative), as an essential component, which is obtained by adding an alkylene oxide containing ethylene oxide as an essential component to a polytetramethylene glycol having 500-2,000 average molecular weight and has part of polyoxyethylene chain with 40-99wt% molecular weight and 2,000-100,000 molecular weight.
