<p>Lighting device for use in conjunction with socket element of an automobile cigarette lighter comprises a body (10) which has an elongate plug portion (14) for insertion into the socket and which define a receptacle for rechargeable battery (18). An electric lamp unit (17) mounted in the body can receive power from the battery (18) and the battery is rechargeable by power obtained from the lighter socket via electric contacts (35, 46) on the plug portion of the body.</p> |
