Procedure and apparatus for producing classified fines product from material constituted by coarser particles. According to the invention, the material is first processed with a rotor crusher (1) and thereafter transported, carried by an air flow, to a centrifugal classifier (10), which performs separation of the final fines product. It is essential in the invention that the material separating as coarse fraction in the centrifugal classifier (10) is processed in a compressed air-operated jet grinder (20), the material therefrom obtained being returned, in more finely ground condition, to the classifier. When the invention is applied in comminuting moist material, the warm exhaust air from the jet grinder (20) can be conducted to the crusher (1) to be used as drying air for the material. |
