PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic gap with high accuracy by providing a metallic magnetic thin film on the titled inner wall of a winding window and using the metallic magnetic thin film to constitute a part of a forward magnetic gap forming face and a tape slide part. CONSTITUTION:The 1st metallic magnetic thin film 34 is provided to the inner wall 33a of a winding window 33 and the 2nd metallic magnetic thin film 35 is provided to the flat abutted face 31a of a magnetic core half 31. The tilted inner wall 33a' at forward/backward magnetic gap 38 of the winding window 33 is tilted to forward/backwared magnetic gap faces 38, 39 at an angle of theta(nearly 30-70 deg.), and the edge 34a of the 1st metallic magnetic thin film 34 provided on the tilted inner wall 33a' and the edge 34b of the 1st metallic magnetic thin film 34 provided to the backward magnetic gap 39 are polished to be flat to constitute the forward/backward magnetic gap faces respectively. Thus, the polished face 34c of the edge 34a has the size of the initial service life of a depth (d) before the polishment of the tip.
