PURPOSE:To prevent the contamination of a developing soln. and a roller by incorporating latex having hydrophilic groups fixed on the surface and a nonionic surfactant into at least one of antistatic layers. CONSTITUTION:Latex having hydrophilic groups fixed on the surface and a nonionic surfactant are incorporated into at least one of antistatic layers. The latex is obtd. by converting latex into protective colloid with a polymer having hydrophilic groups or by allowing a compound having a hydrophilic group to take part in a latex forming reaction so that the compound is distributed on the surfaces of latex particles. The hydrophilic groups contribute toward stabilizing the latex. Any of synthetic and natural water soluble polymers may be used as the polymer having hydrophilic groups. Since the latex having hydrophilic groups fixed on the surface is used in combination with the nonionic surfactant, satisfactory antistatic properties are provided and the contamination of a roller is remarkably improved without exerting unfavorable influence on the photographic characteristics.
