The invention relates to connectors for TV peripheral units, which connectors provide the required electrical connections of a television receiver to TV peripheral appliances so as to establish a secure (safe) contact between the earth of the appliance and the screen 7 of the movable connection element. A fixed part 1, integral with the receiver and/or the appliance to be connected, is provided at each of its ends, in the longitudinal plane, with an earthed contact 4, 5. Thus, when the fixed 1 and movable 6 parts are brought opposite each other, irrespective of the angle made between them during the interpenetration, a contact is inevitably established between earth and screen 4 and 7, or 5 and 7 before making any other circuit. <IMAGE>
