<p>PURPOSE:To display the optional area of the high definition TV video with the still picture by providing the means to generate the signal for showing the time position at the area of a part of the optional screen, and stopping, only for the period of the output signal of the above-mentioned, the writing of the high definition video signal of the present field to the memory for four fields provided to interpolate the frame and so on. CONSTITUTION:A still picture control circuit 14 to stop the changing-over action of a changing-over circuit 8 for a constant period is provided. The control circuit 14 is equipped with a joy stick 15 and a static area setting circuit 16 to generate the signal for obtaining the output from the joy stick and showing the time position of a part of the optional area in the screen, and the above- mentioned signal is given as the control signal of the changing-over circuit 8. Thus, the high definition video signal for four fields read repeatedly out of the memory is synthesized, sent to a TCI decoder, and therefore, the still picture is displayed.</p> |
