NEW MATERIAL:A glycerol derivative of formula (when R1 is linoleoyl, R2 is linoleoyl or palmitoyl and when R1 is palmitoyl, R2 is tricosanoyl, linoleoyl or palmitoyl). EXAMPLE:1-Tricosanoyl-2-linoleoyl-3-palmitoyl-glycerol. USE:Remedy for thrombotic diseases. PREPARATION:Dried seed of Trichosanthes japonica. Trichosanthes bracteata, etc. (a plant of Cucurbitaceae family) is extracted with a solvent such as water, methanol, ether, benzene, etc., and subjected to column chromatography. The obtained crude fraction is purified by chromatography to obtain the objective compound.
