PURPOSE:To permit the stable working by installing an electric power source for feeding the supersonic pulse trains to a vibrator and installing an element for detecting the acoustic emission (AE) and controlling the electric power source by judging the detection signal of the element. CONSTITUTION:A vibrator 1 is fienly vibrated according to the supersonic wave pulse train and vibrated according to the interruption control pulses of an oscillator 6. Therefore, the vibrator 1 vibrates intermittently in the high frequency vibration in 10-5kHz, and polishing work is carried out by vibrating a tool 3. Further, AE is generated according to the impact working state such as the friction in the working parts of the tool 3 and a workpiece 4 and the strength of pressurization, and said AE is reflection transmitted from a horn 2 to the vibrator 1. The AE signal is detected by a detector 8 and discriminated in a judging device 9. When the result of judgement is over a set value, a signal O is outputted, and an AND gate 10 is closed, and vibration is suspended, and reduction-control is performed, and the tool 3 carries out the working due to the impact and breakage action of a constant pressure, and the aimed working, stable finishing work, and mirror surface working can be carried out. |
