PURPOSE:To fill nickel hydroxide uniformly into a sintered member by performing electrolysis while maintaining a pressure reduced condition above the liquid level of nickel salt electrolyte thereby removing foam to be produced on a gap face of the sintered member employed in an anode. CONSTITUTION:When electrolysis in a nickel salt electrolyte is performed while a sintered member being employed as an anode, it is performed in the condition where the pressure applied onto the liquid level of the electrolyte is maintained to be reduced. With such method, the foam produced continuously in the gap of the sintered member through electrolysis can be removed quickly through pressure reduction, thereby nickel hydroxide can be deposited and filled uniformly in the micro voids. Since the active material is consequently filled uniformly, the energy density of cell can be improved through the high rate of discharge characteristic, service life and the capacity. |
