PURPOSE:To prevent an air spoiler from falling off a car body and improve the safety of a car by so arranging the spoiler on a recess formed on a rear body panel as to come out and retreat on a drive mechanism, and forming a stopper for the spoiler leaving a retaining bracket. CONSTITUTION:A recess 8 is formed on a rear body panel 7 and an air spoiler 20 is positioned thereon and rotatably connected to a retaining bracket 16 fixed to the wall 13 of the recess 8. The air spoiler 20 so fitted is made to come out and retreat from a body panel 7 on the operation of a drive mechanism 27. And the upper extension 14 of the air spoiler 20 and the lower end 15 of a front side wall 10 form a stopper for the spoiler 20 coming off the retaining bracket 16, thereby restricting the upward motion thereof. Consequently, the retaining bracket 16 for fitting the air spoiler 20 is prevented from falling off and dispersing due to the loosening of a fitting bolt 31 through a vibration at the time of car running, or due to collision. Therefore, the safety of a car fitted with the air spoiler 20 can be improved.
