PURPOSE:To recover a fault which can not be recovered by normal retrial by varying a source voltage applied to an object device of retrial. CONSTITUTION:When a fault signal is applied to a fault detecting circuit 21, an internal state freezing circuit 22 is put in operation to freeze an information processing circuit 20. A fault recovery control circuit 2 which receives the report of fault occurrence reads the internal state out of the information processing circuit 20. The read result is analyzed to check whether or not retrial is possible or not. When possible, it is checked whether the number of times of retrial exceeds a specific value or not and when so, a failure in retrial is decided and the process is finished. When not, a source voltage switching signal 151 is outputted to a power supply circuit 23 to indicate the switching of the supply voltage. Then, the internal state is set again so as to return the process to a retrial point and the resetting of the freezing is indicated to the state freezing circuit 22, thus performing the retrial operation.
