PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of the captioned device by making the boots- opening-inner-diameter greater than the diameter of an outer cylinder or a sealing nut and providing a base frame with a stopper on which an inclined surface is formed so that the boots of a shock absorber is brought into close contact with the outer surface of the outer cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The inner diameter of an opening 14 of boots 13 of a shock absorber having both an outer cylinder 2 and a sealing nut 3 is made greater than the diameter of both outer cylinder 2 and sealing nut 3. A base frame 10 is provided with a stopper 18 on which the lower end of the boots 13 is abutted when the boots 13 go down. Meanwhile, an inclined surface 19 is formed on the stopper 18 so that that diameter of the opening 14 of the boots 13 is reduced by the stopper 18, thereby bringing the boots 13 into close contact with the outer surface of the outer cylinder 2. With this contrivance, a sleeve can be dispensed with, thereby simplifying the structure of the captioned device.
