The ring may be formed from a vinyl plastisol. A mould 17 carries a groove 19 which is filled with the plastisol. The bottle body 1 is lowered on to the plastisol which is fused by heating to a temperature from 200‹ to 600‹ F. Gases formed, can escape through vent 25. Following this process the bottle is removed from the mould by blowing through vent 25. The mould 21 may be made of polytetrafluoroethylene and the plastisol may be heated by radio frequency. |
