Torsional-band door check for motor-vehicle doors

The invention presents a door check which is intended for motor-vehicle doors and is composed of a door-arresting bar articulated, by means of a bearing block, on a door-arrangement part, door or door post such that it can pivot about an axis which is at least approximately parallel to the door-hinge axis, and of an arrester housing which is penetrated by the door-arresting bar and is attached on the other door-arrangement part. For the purpose of reducing the necessary structural outlay in the case of said door check, the door-arresting bar is designed as a torsional band and, on the one hand, is supported, in a manner secured against tilting with respect to its torsional axis, in the bearing block forming its pivot bearing and, on the other hand, in the arrester housing, is guided through between two braking rollers which are mounted in a non-compliant manner.
