<p>Metallic screens, for use in the drying of cheeses, are described in parent patent each supporting food has a cuniform extremity which enters into the corresponding cavity of the underlying screen. A certain amount of wear tended to cause the feed to jam in their housings. In the new type of foot, the upper part of the centering nose-piece is limited by two lateral shoulders which bear on the corresponding edges of the housings of the underlying screens. Each foot is made by cutting dand bending a flat strip and is provided with a bevelled upper edge. In the new arrangement whatever the extent to which the feed are worn, and whatever the load supported by the screen, the positioning nose-pieces with their parallel edges run no risk of any untimely jamming in their housings, since their penetration is limited by the shoulders.</p> |
