Polymer compositions of improved flow characteristics are disclosed. The compositions comprise an injection-mouldable polymer and 0.5 to 10% by weight of a sodium salt of at least one C6-C16 aliphatic monocarboxylic acid. In preferred embodiments, the acid is a C6-C10 acid. Examples of the polymers are polyolefins, polyamides, polyesters and polystyrene. In a preferred embodiment, the polymer is a homopolymer of ethylene or a copolymer of ethylene and at least one C4-C10 higher alpha-olefin. The compositions may be used, in particular, in injection moulding processes, e.g. in the manufacture of containers.
