PURPOSE:To load necessary firmware surely by providing status information that can discriminate whether firmware necessary for each data transmission equipment is loaded or not and going to read information of other data transmission equipment from a specified data transmission equipment at every predetermined time. CONSTITUTION:The data transmission system consists of plural data transmission equipments 1-4 and looplike transmission lines 11-14. In such a case, a means 24 that stores status information that can discriminate whether firmware or software necessary for each transmission equipment is loaded or not is provided. This is provided in the first data transmission equipment which is one of plural data transmission equipments 1-4, and goes to see status information of other data transmission equipments at every predetermined time, and when firmware or software is not loaded to each data transmission equipments, the first data transmission equipment loads firmware or software to each data transmission equipment.
