<p>PURPOSE:To make a return motion characteristic in a steering system so better, by precompensating an increasing armature current with a signal to be fed to a motor drive circuit at a time when the steering system is in a return operation state. CONSTITUTION:A device bearing the above caption is provided with an electric motor 49 generating auxiliary torque in corresponding to operation of a steering system, a device 72 detecting steering torque in the steering system, and a device 76 detecting steering rotational frequency in the steering system. Also it is provided with a device 70 generating a control signal of the motor 49 setting the steering torque and the steering rotational frequency down as a control parameter, and a motor drive circuit 82 feeding the motor 49 with on-off voltage in the specified duty ratio and controlling it for PWM. In this case, the device 70 is constituted so as to alter the control parameter performing this PWM control with each of outward and return operation states in the steering system.</p> |
