PURPOSE:To obtain high-quality products poor in deviation of thickness by keeping a control coefficient always under optimum value control in automatic correction. CONSTITUTION:On the basis of DELTAbetan, mean value of thickness deviations measured at the nth cycle of scanning, DELTAGn correction of the roll position is obtained from Formula DELTAGn=DELTAbetan/F to adjust the roll position on the basis of DELTAGn. In this case, the sheet thickness is corrected by F.DELTAGn'. Therefore, in the (n+1)th cycle, deviation DELTAbetan+1 is measured applying DELTAGn' as the reference value. An F value is selected so as to make this mean value of deviations as small as possible. In this case, if each zone T is provided correcting the F values in sequence toward the bottom of the parabola L the control coefficient can be corrected to the optimum value. |
