摘要 1396961 Image analysis ANTECH Inc 19 May 1972 [11 June 1971] 23749/72 Heading H4F An image analysis system in which video signal levels lying within a selected range are displayed with a contrasting brightness or colour as compared with the overall image, wherein the system has controls which enable the mean level and the width of the range to be independently selected. In Fig. 1 the video signal from a television camera 3 is fed via a potentiometer 7 so that a predetermined level of the signal is supplied to an analyser 9 which includes a voltage window detector 11 which delivers a gating output voltage to unblock an amplifier 16 when the voltage level of the video signal lies within limits preselected by controls 13 and 14. Control 13 adjusts the mean level (e.g. X or Y, Fig. 2) of the selected video voltage range, and control 14 adjusts the width (e.g. a to b or c to d, Fig. 2) of the selected voltage range. The gain of amplifier 16 may be controlled by control 19. A second voltage window detector 31 is also shown in Fig. 1 so that two ranges may be selected simultaneously. The video signal is also fed via an adjustable potentiometer 21 and an attenuator-amplifier 22 to an output terminal 18 where the segmented image from amplifier 16 is combined therewith and both displayed on the display monitor 29. Since no signal may be passed to output lead 24, synchronization of the monitor 29 is ensured by the path 41 including sync. stripper 36, or by the path 48 from the camera control 4. Detailed description of suitable voltage window detectors 11, and their associated controls 13 and 14 is given with respect to Figs. 3, 4 and 5, not shown, the latter of which includes the capability of displaying the video signal within the window limits or a quantized or normalized display thereof, with or without the full image signal. In addition the video signal within the window limits may be inverted or a differentiator, filter or transient generator may be disposed in the quantized or normalized signal path. Selected density ranges may be displayed in different colours (Fig. 6, not shown), the full image signal being displayed in black and white, i.e., all three colour guns are excited. In a further embodiment (Fig. 7, not shown) the voltage range of the selected window is split into eight smaller voltage ranges which are displayed in six different colours (the extreme smaller voltage ranges being displayed as white), the system including an encoder responsive to the magnitude of the video signal to generate unambiguous sets of digital code signals each corresponding to the smaller voltage ranges which when decoded supply different control signals to a colour television display. The image analysed may be an infra-red image.
