PURPOSE:To simplify an apparatus for culturing bacteria groups by disposing an inside cylindrical body whose top and bottom ends consists of porous through-hole plates to the inside of an outside housing having an inflow port and outflow port, packing a microbial metabolic pathway inducing agent to the inside of the inside cylindrical body and providing an air diffusion pipe to the lower part of the inside cylindrical body. CONSTITUTION:The inside cylindrical body 6 which is a cylindrical body of about the size having a prescribed space with the inside wall of the outside housing 4 having the inflow port 12 and the outflow port 15 and whose top and bottom ends consist of the porous through-hole plates 7, 6 is disposed to the housing 4. The microbial metabolic pathway inducing agent is packed into the body 6 and the air diffusion pipe 8 is installed to the lower part of the body 6. The culture of the bacteria groups which produce the metabolite contg. the compd. having a phenol or/and phenol exposed group is efficiently executed by the simple device united to one body, by which the more effective use of the treatment device for org. waste water or the like is made possible.
