The present invention relates to a trolley, for transporting objects over a distance, which can be used especially in supermarkets and hypermarkets, comprising a vertical frame 3 securely fastened to a horizontal frame 4 carried by four wheels, whose front wheels are independent and steerable, the vertical frame 3 being provided, at its upper part, with a pushing bar by which the user can push the trolley. This trolley is characterised in that it comprises electromechanical means for driving in motion controlled by the user by means of control means placed in the pushing bar 8 of the trolley 1, to allow him to vary at will the speed of forward travel of the trolley. <IMAGE>
