SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive material which hardly receives a developing effect by using a red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer contg. a prescribed amt. of a monodisperse clean emulsion and having the average grain size ratio between the max.s and min. silver halide particles adjusted to <=1.3 and the average grain size adjusted to a prescribed value or below. CONSTITUTION:The red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer of the silver halide photographic sensitive material is the emulsion layer contg. at least >=50mol% monodisperse clean emulsion. The average grain size ratio of the silver halide particles having the max. average grain size of the silver halide particles contained in the respective silver halide emulsion particles and the average grain size of the silver halide particles having the min average grain size is made <=1.3 and the average grain size of the respective silver halide particles contained in the respective emulsion layers is made <=0.6mum. The photosensitive material which has the high sensitivity, hardly receives the developing effect, is hardly susceptible to the compsn. fluctuation, etc. of a color developing soln. and exhibits an excellent gradation characteristic is thus obtd.
