The invention relates to an electrical circuit arrangement for monitoring a fuse element, for example a fusible link which, in particular, is connected floatingly to a high electrical potential. The monitoring is independent of the equipment current flowing through the fuse element, in addition there is a potential isolation between the fuse element and an associated indicating device, for example an incandescent or glow lamp. This is essentially achieved by a transformer, the secondary-side current of which is rectified and is conducted together with the equipment current as measuring current through the fuse element. Depending on the measuring current, an electrical signal, which is supplied to an indicating device, is produced on the primary side of the transformer.
