PURPOSE:To prevent potential drop in high rate discharge by forming a bipolar electrode in electrolyte circulation type lithium-silver oxide battery by pressing a silver oxide sheet against a substrate fixed with an alkali resistant current collector. CONSTITUTION:An electrode of electrolyte circulation type lithium-silver oxide battery which is used by supplying and circulating electrolyte at starting has a bipolar construction formed by bonding together a silver oxide sheet 1 serving as positive electrode and a lithium plate serving as negative electrode to a conductive substrate 2. A current collector 4 formed with expanded net made of alkali resistant metal such as nickel is welded to the substrate 2 at a spot- welding point 5 beforehand. The silver oxide sheet 1 is pressed so that the outer surface 4a of the current collector 4 becomes the same level as that of the silver oxide sheet 1. Thereby, electric resistance is uniformly reduced, and discharge performance is increased. |
