PURPOSE:To provide a film composed of a composition obtained by compounding a high-density polyethylene with a specific etylenevinyl acetate copolymer, having balanced strength, transparency, heat-insulation, flexibility, etc., and suitable especially as an agricultural covering film. CONSTITUTION:The objective film has a longitudinal and transversal orientation ratio of 0.7-3 and a thickness of 5-25mu and composed of a composition consisting of (A) 70-95pts.(wt.) of a high-density polyethylene having a density of 0.94-0.97g/cm<3> and a melt index of 0.01-0.5g/10min (at 190 deg.C), preferably a uniform melt mixture of (i) a high or medium-density polyetylene having an average molecular weight of 100,000-1,500,000 and (ii) a high or medium- density polyethylene having an average molecular weight of 1,000-100,000 wherein the ratio of the molecular weight of the component (i) to the component (ii) is 5-200 and the ratio of the amount of (i) to (ii) is 30:70-80:20 and (B) 5-30pts. of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer having a melt index of 0.05-10g/10min and vinyl acetate content of 2-20wt%. |
