PURPOSE:To aim at simplifying the structure of a heat gas engine and as well making the latter compact, by providing a cooling cylinder on the top of a regenerator, and as well disposing outer and inner cylinders in the cooling cylinder with the inner cylinder being formed therein with outside air communication holes, so that gaps between the cylinders are communicated together through apertures. CONSTITUTION:A power piston 17 and a displacer piston 18 are reciprocated with a certain phase angle therebetween within a cylinder 1 which is formed therein with an opening 25 communicated with a regenerator 10. Further, several recesses 7 in a heater 6 joined to the lower section of the cylinder 1 are communicated with an opening 6 in the cylinder 1 and an opening 7 in the regenerator 10. A cooling cylinder 39 is provided on the top of the regenerator 10, extending therefrom, and is disposed therein with inner and outer cylinders 28, 29 with a gap 40 being defined therebetween, so that a cooler 11 is constituted. Further, gaps 31, 40 defined between the cylinders 28, 29, 39 are communicated together through apertures 33 formed in the outer cylinder 29, and the inner cylinder 28 is formed therein with air holes 30 for introducing the outside air. |
