摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power calibration method for write-once optical disk and a recording/reproducing device which can acquire the optimum recording laser power in consideration of the necessary conditions of the device constitution. SOLUTION: A storage part stores the laser power acquired when the trial writing is previously given to a prescribed write-once optical disk and the time width of 3T pits set when the optical disk undergone the optimum recording is reproduced. When the recording laser power optimization (OPC) is carried out to write the information into the optical disk in an information recording mode, a single partition of the test area of a power calibration area (PCA) is divided into the 1st to 4th areas ER1 to ER4 consisting of plural frames respectively, and a single trial writing operation is carried out in a single area. At the same time, the laser power and the recording pulse time width are corrected based on the value stored in the storage part.
