A device for converting mechanical energy into electrical energy are proposed in which a weight (23-26) is arranged so as to be periodically displaceable by mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic means against the direction of gravity, in at least one duct (11-14) extending in a diametral direction and arranged in a circular frame rotatable about its middle transverse axis.
